1. Innovation Award

What is innovative about the nominees business? In what ways is it different from what is already available? Why did the nominee choose to focus on this type of business?

2. Best Marketing & Promotion Award

What was the nominee’s best marketing strategy? What were the proven results? How was it implemented?

3. Perseverance Award

How did the nominee initiate the business? What challenges, both personal and professional, has the nominee faced in establishing the business? How were they able to successfully overcome these challenges?

4. Corporate Social Responsibility Award

How has the nominee’s business contributed to society’s benefit at large, nationally or internationally? What has the impact been?

5. Mentoring Award

How is the nominee involved in mentoring other young entrepreneurs? What has the outcome of this mentoring been?

Two Special Awards will also be given

The following two awards, for which no nomination is required, will be presented at the closing ceremony. The winners will be selected from among the entrepreneurs present at the summit. Awards cannot be received by anyone other than the awardees.

• Best 10th WSYE Business Deal: This award will be given to Joint Venture parties

• 2006 Award for Global Young Entrepreneur of the Year: Leadership This award will be given to the entrepreneur whose efforts have created an outstanding 'deal' at the summit, and how business performance has impacted his/her community at large.
